Changelog

What's new on Focal Click — releases, improvements, and fixes.

Unreleased

Added

  • Flip a photo to see the recipe behind it. In the feed viewer, tap the recipe chip and the photo turns over to reveal the full camera settings on its back — with one tap to Save the recipe, Follow the look, or browse every other shot taken with it.
  • Share a photo, straight from the camera. A new composer reads your photo's in-camera recipe, lets you crop and add a border, and posts it — so anyone can see the look and shoot it themselves.

Changed

  • Your home feed is now a column of posts. Each shot is a real post card — the photographer up top, the photo shown exactly as posted, and a one-tap flip to the recipe on its back.
  • Flip-to-recipe now works for any photo shape. On a wide, landscape shot the card gently grows as it turns, so the full recipe — settings, proof shots, Save and Follow — always fits instead of being clipped.
  • Sharing from your Library is now “Post to feed.” Only straight-out-of-camera photos that carry a recipe can be posted; posting several at once tells you how many went out and how many were skipped for having no recipe.
  • When you're signed in, your home is now a feed of the latest straight-out-of-camera posts, with a one-tap prompt to share your own.
  • Your home feed now has a For You / Following switch — see the whole community or just the photographers and looks you follow, with flip-to-recipe on both. (The separate Following page is now this toggle.)
  • The feed is now a single, calmer column — one photo at a time, shown larger. Profiles and Explore keep their gallery grid.
  • Photos show exactly as posted. The viewer no longer adds a white frame, so a border you added yourself isn't doubled up.
  • The photo page now gives the image the whole stage: portrait shots stand as tall prints instead of sitting letterboxed inside a landscape frame.
  • A redesigned sign-in page — the form now sits beside a gently looping wall of real shots, and you can ask for a one-tap sign-in link by email instead of typing a password.
  • A calmer Explore. The page leads with search, simulation and sort; mood filters tuck behind a toggle so browsing feels less busy.
  • In the photo viewer, the look is now front and centre — a clear button to open its recipe page, rather than a line of small print.
  • Your own profile now has an Edit profile button.

1.0.1July 14, 2026

Changed

  • Photo grids on profiles and recipe pages now show every photo whole, at its true aspect ratio, in a balanced gallery layout — portrait shots are no longer cropped into landscape strips.
  • Redesigned the recipe page around its photos: the gallery and variations lead, with the name, settings and Save in a compact panel alongside. Variations now show as photo thumbnails so you can see how each one looks, instead of a list of numbers.

The launch baseline — Focal Click as it stands today.

Added

  • Photo library — upload your Fujifilm JPEGs and RAWs; each photo's film simulation recipe is read from its metadata automatically and stays attached to the photo.
  • Explore — community recipes grouped by their core look, with Dynamic Range, Noise Reduction, and Clarity variations gathered under one card. Every recipe is proven on real photos.
  • Recipe pages — proof photo galleries, community names, creator attribution with source links, and a breakdown of each variation.
  • Fuji Recipe Extractor — a free tool: drop in a straight-out-of-camera JPEG and see its full recipe. No account needed.
  • Pin to recipe — submit a photo to a recipe on the spot and claim it by email afterwards.
  • Social export — download photos sized for sharing with the recipe embedded in the file's metadata, accepted cleanly by Google Photos.
  • Export cards — turn any recipe into a shareable image in four styles (Classic, Gallery Wall, Poster, Polaroid), portrait or square, with optional unbranded output for members.
  • Profiles and community — public profiles, follows, likes, and full-size photo viewing everywhere.
  • Changelog — this page.
